We are seeking a flexible, motivated and organized individual for the volunteer role of
Community Events Coordinator. The Community Events Coordinator is a public facing,
volunteer role that will help to build brand awareness and help provide public education at
community events. Reports to the Director of Business Development but works closely with the
entire board of directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Find and register Greyhaven for community events within the lower mainland
• Coordinate volunteer participation at events
• Promote best practices and provide education to volunteers attending events
• Coordinate and organize all event material including brochures, banners, signage, tent,
tables
• Ensure that volunteers attending events have event kits on hand
• Coordination of the Pet Lover show at Abbotsford Tradex in February
• Execute Greyhaven participation at car free days, farmers markets, OWL open house
and more
• Promote upcoming events on social media
• Represent Greyhaven at community events in a professional manner
• Provide education about Greyhaven, our mission and programs at events
• Promote donations and fundraising at events
• Evaluate ROI for each event attended to ensure our volunteer hours are used wisely

Experience and Skills

• Must be comfortable speaking in public
• Event planning an asset
• Knowledgeable about our mission and programs
• Must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
