Workplace giving is a program that lets employees donate money on a regular basis to one or more charities. The charity must be a deductible gift recipient (DGR) which means that donations to the charity are deductible for taxation purposes.

How do I set up a workplace giving program to support the birds?

  1. Check with your HR or Payroll department to see if they can set up payroll deductions or have a charitable donation matching program.
  2. Determine when and how payments will be submitted to Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary(e.g monthly, quarterly, or annually). The method of payment must also be determined.
  3. Contact Greyhaven (info@greyhaven.bc.ca) to let us know you are starting w workplace giving program so that we can provide additional information to get you started.
  4. Educate all employees about the options for donations. We can also provide information about our work that you will help support.
