Canary -
(Adopted
September
2010)
Hi from
the wee
Canary..my
new
family,
are
going to
choose a
name for
me. I
had just
come
into the
Greyhaven
program,
and Gabe
had his
application
for
adoption
in, and
it was
perfect.
My new
family
are
great,
as they
let me
out to
free
fly, and
life has
never
been
better.
I even
get to
watch
the
tennis
matches
that
have
been on
TV. I
can sing
to my
hearts
content,
in my
new
home.
Life for
me, is
great.

Hailey -
African
Grey
(Adopted
September
2010)
Hi from
Hailey I
now have
gone to
my new
home,
and I am
extremely
happy.
Being
such a
nervous
girl, it
was
difficult
for me
to
choose
who
would be
the best
for me
to be
adopted
to. Then
Arron
came
along
with his
partner,
and I
fell in
love
with
both of
them. I
wanted
to give
him
kisses,
and feed
him
within
15
minutes
of them
being
with me.
I felt
really
comfortable,
and
stepped
up for
them
very
quickly.
Love is
such a
powerful
emotion,
and I am
so glad
that I
got to
pick,
with
whom I
wanted
to spend
the rest
of my
life
with. I
now am
part of
their
family.
I have a
lot of
attention
paid to
me, and
it seems
that I
am never
alone
anymore.
Life is
great.

Hello
there….Well
I have
been
adopted
into a
home,
that
gets me
out of
my cage,
and now
I am
back in
shape. I
was a
little
overweight
but now
I can
fly with
the best
of them.
Life is
a lot
more fun
these
days,
with my
new
family
and a
new
Budgie
buddy.
Having a

Crackers
-
Goffins
Cockatoo
(Adopted
September
2010)
Hello
from
Crackers
I am the
luckiest
little
Goffins
ever, as
I have
been
adopted
into the
perfect
home for
me. A
couple
came to
visit,
and they
were
taken by
my sad
past.
They
both
took
their
time, to
be sure
that I
would
fit in
with
their
lives,
and
voila…..here
I am.
I am the
happiest
that I
have
ever
been ,
and I
truly
love my
new
family a
lot.
They
bought
me a new
outdoors
cage, so
I can
sit in
the
garden
and
smell
the
roses
with
them. I
also
have a
new
feathered
buddy, a
male
Eclectus.
He is a
nice
guy, but
he is
not as
good a
dancer
as I am,
not even
close.
That’s
alright,
we love
him,
just the
way he
is.
Life
is
great.

Patti -
Budgie
(Adopted
August
2010)
Well
I am now
in my
new
forever
home,
with a
great
caregiver,
and
human
companion.
As you
can tell
by my
picture,
this is
one of
the
first
flights
that I
have
encountered
in new
surroundings.
If I
look a
bit on
the
edge,
that is
why.
I am
a really
great
little
girl,
and it
will not
take me
any time
to get
the
drift of
where I
am, and
where I
can
land.
Life is
wonderful,
and I am
happy to
be with
my new
family.
I have
another
buddy(Budgie)
but she
chose
not to
come out
and
explore
our new
home.
Hopefully
I can
get her
to
accompany
me soon.
By the
way my
name is
Patti,
and I am
really
very
contented,
and
happy
with my
new
life.

(Adopted

I am
extremely
happy
with my
new
life,
and new
friends.
I have
been
adopted
to a
wonderful
couple,
that
already
had a
Budgie.
They
wanted
someone
to keep
her
company
so they
picked
me. I am
really
happy
they
did, for
we have
the best
of
everything
here.
We
have a
lot of
time out
of our
cage. We
have
good
food,
and lots
of fresh
veggies,
to
insure
that we
stay
healthy.
I really
love my
new
human
companions,
they are
gentle,
and
caring
people,
that
love us
little
feathered
guys, a
lot.
Life is
really
great.

Nuna -
Lovebird
(Adopted
August
2010)
Hello I
was
adopted
to be a
friend
for
another
wee
Lovie
that had
lost his
mate. At
first it
was a
little
difficult,
for I
was not
used to
having
so much
freedom,
we are
out of
our cage
most of
the
time,
and when
we are
in, it
is a
huge
flight
that we
have.
Life is
really
wonderful,
I have
my new
buddy to
fly
with,
and a
really
nice
caregiver
that
insures
we are
happy
and
contented.
Life is
more
than
good, it
is
GREAT.

African
Silver
Bill
Finch
(Adopted
August
2010)
Hi from
my
wonderful
new
home… I
have
been
adopted
along
with Neo
into a
very
nice
indoor/outdoor
aviary.
Although
I am
small, I
am
happy,
with all
the
others
here.
We
have a
lot of
space,
and life
is
great. I
can fly
to my
hearts
content,
and laze
away the
days,
relaxing
and
having a
great
time
with all
my new
friends.
The
meeting
place is
usually
the
waterfall/fountain
to take
a bath.
It has
been
wonderful
to do
so, with
the
warmer
days.
This
winter
we all
have an
indoor
part of
the
aviary
to
congregate
in. Life
is the
best for
me now.
No more
cages,
just
freedom.
Life is
perfect.

A really

and her

Everyone
knows
that it
will
take a
little
time and
patience
for us
to
become
really
socialized
but they
are
willing
to work
with us.
This is
a gentle

We spend
a lot of

I still
am a

especially
when my

or
leaves
me to do
the
cooking.
I just
assume
that I
this is
my

am
really

Hi from
Pecan I
have
been
adopted
to a
lady and
her
husband,
who have
all the
time in
the
world
for me.
I love
to
cuddle,
and give
kisses

and I
know
that she
adores
me as
well.
A few
years
ago, my
new

had
adopted
another

so
although
we may
not be
cage

we
however
will be
flying

We are
out of
our
cages
most of
the
time,
which
suits me
just
fine. I
have a
wonderful
life,
and am

Quaker
(Adopted
July
2010)
Yahoo….
I have
really
gotten
lucky….My
foster
mum, and
dad
cannot
part
with me,
so I get
to stay
with
them
forever.
Catherine
is a
Greyhaven
volunteer,
that
offered
to help
when I
came
into the
program.
She
knows
all
about us
Quakers,
so she
let me
come
home
with
her. I
confess
I have
not been
the
easiest
to get
along
with,
but
everyone
has
persevered.
Both
Catherine
and her
husband
think
that I
have
come
along
way, so
I am
fitting
right
into
their
hearts.
Life is
absolutely
wonderful….

We have

am now

flying
to my
hearts
content
with
others
of my
kind.
This is
the
perfect
life for
me. I am
an older

still in
great
shape,
so this
type of

Jose -
Cockatiel
(Adopted
July
2010)
Hi my
name is
Jose.
This
picture
of me is
not
really
that
flattering,
it was
taken
with a
cell
phone. I
certainly
am a lot
better
looking
in
person.
I love
to step
up and
have my
head
rubbed.
I am
really a
gentle
little
soul.
As luck
would
have it,
I was at
the
Sanctuary
when
Dagmar
and
Chris
came to
visit.
They
both
fell in
love
with the
three of
us
little
girls.
Swifty,
Pearl,
and I
went
to our
new home
together.
I
require
special
attention,
as I
cannot
fly. A
cat got
a hold
of one
of my
wings,
years
ago, and
made
short
work of
it.
Fortunately
I lived,
but
without
a good
portion
of my
wing. It
is gone.
It only
took a
second,
to have
my whole
life
change.
In my
new home
Dagmar
carries
me to
the play
stand,
or I can
use the
ladder
to climb
up on.
That way
I can be
with all
of my
other
Cockatiel
friends.
I feel
extremely
fortunate,
to be
loved so
much. I,
in turn,
am a
faithful
and
loving,
feathered
companion.

(Adopted
July

I am
another,
of the
lucky
girls
that
have
been
adopted
into the
same
home as
Pearl
and
Jose. We
all are
able to
fly to
play
stations
around
our
room, we
only go
into our
cages
when the
mood
strikes.
Life is
really
wonderful
for us
all.

such a
wonderful

Our new

are
great.
Dagmar
is our
main
caregiver
,with
insuring
that we
all have
good
care. We
always
have
fresh
food and
water,
as well
as
treats
daily.
Chris,
is our
other
human
companion,
and we
all love
him as
well. He
insures
that we
all are
happy
and
healthy.
We all
have a
lot of
love in
our
home,
and our
lives
could
not be
any
better.
Swifty
and Jose
also
were
adopted
with me,
from
Greyhaven.
It is
really
wonderful
for all
of us to
be
together.
As you
can see
from my
picture,
with the
stresses
of life,
I have
picked
out most
of my
tummy,
and back
feathers.
It is
perfect
to be in
a home,
where
beauty
is in
the eye
of the
beholder.
To my
new
family,
I am the
most
beautiful
little
girl in
the
world.
Life is
great.

Sparkle
- Budgie
(Adopted
June 2010)
My
name is
Sparkle
and I
have
just
been
adopted
by a
really
nice
couple.
They
already
had a
little
Budgie
that
needed
company,
so they
chose me
to fill
that
bill. It
is
wonderful
because
my new
family
have an
open
cage
door
policy.
We can
come and
go as we
wish.
What a
wonderful
feeling,
to be
free.
Both of
us
Budgies
are very
lucky to
be part
of our
new
family.

Mia -
Parrotlet
(Adopted June 2010)
Hi from Mia, I
have been adopted into a loving home,
and I have a very caring human companion
that loves me a lot. There is another of
my species here, that I have my eye on,
his name is Cupid (another Parrot let)
hopefully we can buddy, up and become
good friends.
There will be no nesting
or egg hatching for us. There are enough
of us wee little ones already. My new
human friend Julie cuddles me a lot as
well, so I am a very happy little girl.

Keelee - Alexandrian (Adopted June 2010)
Hi
from Keelee!
I
was not in the Greyhaven program for
very long before finding a great home. I
am loved by a very nice man, and I have
never been happier in my life.
I
have a friend as well, a Nandy Conure
that has accepted me into the home, and
we do get along well. There are no
other pets here like cats and dogs, so
that is good a good thing. I am a gentle
soul, and my new family respects my
feelings.
I
am out most of the time with my new
feathered friend Indy, so we have a lot
of freedom to roam, and explore our
home. Life is perfect for me, and I am
so happy to be with my new family, that
truly, love me a lot.

Hi
from Quinn,
I was adopted by a really nice lady who
has the patience, and love, to help me
be a little more socialized.
Monica is a great human companion for
me. I already sit on her shoulder, and
am learning to trust unconditionally. We
have become great friends, and I love
her a lot. I am really happy, and have
found contentment. My place in the sun,
finally has come true.

Abe -
Parrotlet (Adopted May 2010)
Hi
from Abe the Parrotlet I was not in the
Greyhaven program for very long, when a
family came to visit. They already had a
Parrotlet at home and wanted me to come
and live with them, to be friends with
their other little male.
All worked out
really well and Joey and I are now
really great buddies. I am a very
affectionate little guy, and there are
no shortages of cuddles here. My human
family are kind and wonderful people
that love us wee Parrotlets. |
 |
Jewell - Lovebird (Adopted May 2010)
Hi from Jewell I was not long in the
Greyhaven program when a very nice
family came along and fell in love with
me.
I am a super friendly little male
that just wants to be loved, and
cuddled. The more the better. Well I
have found a family that will insure
that I always have that circle of love
around me. I am one happy little dude.
Life is wonderful. |
 |
Louie - Cockatiel (Adopted
May 2010)
I am now in my new home. It is
wonderful, for I have a human companion
that loves me a lot. She is a little
busy with her studies, but we still have
shared times together. I am a happy
little guy.

Carrot - Amazon (Adopted May 2010)
Carrot the Amazon has been adopted.
Hello there from Carrot My adoptive
family were told all about my past, and
were still ready to take on the
challenge of having me as part of their
family.
Noreen has been incredible, she
knew that I was not partial to women,
but she has persevered, and we get along
better. I still try and put her to the
test but she is always one step ahead of
me. Milor, another Amazon is here with
us. He also came from the Greyhaven
program, and is my very best friend.
Noreen sometimes calls us the cranky
old guys, in a very loving way. Both
Milor and I are always checking out what
is going on in the house, and a nip on
Noreen’s toes, is always a great
attention getter. She keeps telling us,
that she is waiting for the day, that we
stop. Life is wonderful, and I am very
happy to be with my new family,
surrounded with a lot of love. Carrot.

Santanna
- Lovebird (Adopted May 2010)
Hi from Santanna Well it
finally was my turn, to find someone who
loves me a lot. A very nice family came
to visit Greyhaven, and decided that I
would fit into their hearts. It was a
long time for me in coming, so I can
tell you that I am ever so grateful. It
was fine in my foster home with all the
volunteers visiting, and playing with
us, but I still longed for my own human
family to be close to. Life is good, and
I am blessed. Love Santanna

Rene and Finch (Adopted May 2010)
Well can you believe
it. I have a new cage mate, and buddy,
called Finch. We both were in the
Greyhaven program and a very nice lady
wanted to adopt both of us. Well, we
were placed in a large setting and we
get along just great. Finch is a little
bothersome to me at times. He tries to
snuggle beside me when he is nervous,
and sometimes it gets irritating, but
for the most part he is a good
companion. Finch and I have a lovely
human caregiver that loves us both. Life
is good. |

Quail (Adopted
May
2010)
Well my wish has come true, and
I am in
the
perfect
home
with a
loving
human
family,
two
other
Button
Quails,
and two
Doves. new family built a wonderful aviary for
all of us to be in. It is big enough so
we have a lot of room to play and have a
great time.
It was a long ride out over
the new Golden Ears bridge to where my
new home is. All the way there I had
wondered what would happen next. It was
the greatest feeling when my carrying
cage door opened and I was greeted by
all of my new feathered buddies,
especially the other little Quails. Life
sometimes takes that twist. They did the
research, and know how to take care of
us little guys. I will live a very
long, and happy life with my new found
family.

Bebi -
Lovebird (Adopted May 2010)
Hi and my name is Bebi, and I am
under a year old. My first home was a
happy one, and the people loved me a
lot, but unfortunately they felt that I
was just a little too active, for them.
I was placed into the Greyhaven
program, and I was adopted out within
the week.
A perfect home was
found for me. Now I have my own special
human friend, and caregiver. She loves,
how I like to play, and we are having a
blast together. Life is good, and I am
very happy. |

Charlie and Kiwi - Budgies (Adopted
May 2010)
Hello from Charlie & Kiwi We have
been adopted into a family that are
wonderful. They came to visit with all
of us here, at Greyhaven, and chose
Kiwi, and I, to live with them. Our
foster mum did the home visit, and was
very happy with the amount of love, and
care that we are getting.
We are
with the family, in an area where we all
can interact. Joel( my caregiver) has
me stepping up for him, Kiwi, will as
well, but she is still a little shy.
Life is wonderful.

Ocean
- Parrotlet
(Adopted
April 2010)
Hello from Ocean. Life sometimes has a strange way of
being challenging one minute , and in a
blink of an eye being wonderful. My turn
has come, and I am now extremely happy
and contented. My life has completely
changed.
A Greyhaven volunteer
fell in love with me and I now am part
of her family. We cuddle at night, and I
perch myself on her shoulder ,and tuck
myself underneath her hair. She has made
me feel very special and I in turn love
her very much. We make a good pair, and
I am so grateful for her caring ways.
Finally found my place in the sun.

Wilson - Budgie
(Adopted
April 2010)
Hi from Wilson. Everything
is wonderful, and life could not be
better. Fiona and I have been adopted
together, and our new human companions
are great. I had been in the Greyhaven
program for awhile, so it is good that I
now have a new and exciting life to look
forward to. It was Fiona ,and my turn
for happiness.
Thanks for reading
my bio, and bye from the both of us.

 |
Fiona - Budgie (Adopted
April 2010)
Hi from Fiona. I
have been adopted into a really nice
home, along with Wilson, another Budgie.
We were in a foster home together, when
a very special lady, and her daughter
decided that they would like to adopt us
both.
We have time out of our
cage, and a lot of love and caring to go
along with that. It is really nice when
we little guys are able to be together
and have a loving family of our own. Our
cage (when we are in it) is situated
where we are able to visit with our new
family, and be able to see what is going
on. Life is good. |
 |
Hank
and Francis - Cockatiels (Adopted
April 2010)
Well, life is really good. Hank and
I have been adopted into a great home.
Our new human companion family love us a
lot and we are extremely happy. We have
a great view from our new digs, and we
can even see the Ocean from our perch.
What a great life, so relaxing.
Thanks Greyhaven for looking after us,
but we are off on new, and exciting
times. We may be a little older, but
both Hank and I still have a lot of
life, and oomph left in us. We both are
very happy, and consider ourselves very
lucky, to be part of our new
family. I know, that our new human
companions, feel the same way about us. |
 |
Sally
and Scott - Budgies
(Adopted
April 2010)
We
are now in our new home, and have a human
family that love us a lot. It really
shows. We have a lot of affection from
them, and we are learning to step up.
With time, trust and love anything is
possible.
We have a lot of out
time to fly and explore our new digs,
and that is really important to us.
Keeping our muscles working well will
insure a longer life for us. Good for
all of our internal organs as well.
We are
super lucky to be part of our new human
family, for they are in tune with the
times, and are really respectful of our
needs. Life is great.

Chicken -
Lovebird
(Adopted April 2010)
Hi the name is Chicken, and I do
not fit the profile. I am a
feisty little Lovebird, that had
not been in the program very
long at all.
In fact, my
original bio was just going to
be posted when a wonderful lady
met me and, off I went with
three of my buddies. We all are
so very happy, with our new
human family mum. She lets us
fly, and like Starr said," we
are all looking forward to
kicking back, in the outdoor
aviary this summer".
I
always have had a good time, but
this is exceptional. All four of
us are, "so over the moon happy"
with our new human family. We
truly are blessed to have been
chosen for this good life. Guess
it was our time.
Love
the Chicken..... |

Cheyanne and Dakota - Lovebirds (Adopted
April 2010)
Cheyanne, and I have been adopted into a
wonderful home. We have full flying
privileges and it is wonderful.
Starr, and Chicken, are here with us as
well. There are ropes to climb up on,
that are attached from the ceiling, and
we are out and about all the time. Life
could not be better. We have an outdoor
aviary as well, so when the weather gets
warmer we will be allowed to fly in the
sun. We all are looking forward to that
adventure.
Our new human companion mum loves us a
lot, and is a perfect caregiver, and
friend. We love her a lot as well ,and
look forward to her giving us scritches,
and kisses. Life truly, is perfect.
Love Dakota.

 |
Starr
- Lovebird
(Adopted April 2010)
I have been adopted along with the
three other Lovebirds, into a wonderful
home. Just like Dakota said “life is
perfect now”
We are flying free and it
is such a good feeling. We get
despondent if caged all the time, and in
my new home I know that I will never
happen so I feel blessed.
Our new human
mum is the best and we are all very
lucky little Lovebirds.

Norman and Lucy - Cockatiels (Adopted
April 2010)
Hi!
Just to let you all know that Lucy and I
have been adopted together into a
wonderful and caring home, and are
really happy that. We now have the
company of each other, as well as our
new human family. We also are allowed to
have the freedom out of our cage so that
is a huge plus. Lucy and I were always
allowed to be out and about, in our
Greyhaven foster home, so it is super
that we have the same. Our new human
companions are gentle and very caring
people ,and we are happy that we were
chosen to be with them. Life is really
good for Lucy and I.

- Cockatiel (Adopted April 2010)
I
am over the moon in my new home. My new
human family and caregivers are the
best. I also have a new friend called
Mrs Feathers but really it should be Mr
Feathers, as he is a male. However far
be it for me to change anything. All I
know is that I am happy, and my new
Cockatiel friend is a great
companion. He has shown me the ropes in
my new home. We like to be adventurous
at times, and poke around floor walking.
We have a really nice play stand on our
cage and usually we are there, but every
once in awhile we take a walk on the
wild side. I am really happy with my new
family, and friend. |

Dolly's
Story
Our wee and wonderful
little Budgie, Dolly has completed her journey
in this life. She died yesterday morning, very
peacefully in her sleep . We all will miss her,
but know that she is now flying free, in a
sunny, warm, and peaceful place.
Madison and Dolly were exceptional together.
They showed us, just how very caring, and kind
these feathered souls can be. They were truly
was amazing. Both are, and were, loved a lot.
Original entry:
We
are
Madison
and
Dolly,
me being
Dolly
the old
gal. We
came
into the
Greyhaven
program
awhile
ago and
it was
noticed
right
away
that I
have
arthritis
so it is
more
difficult
for me
to get
around.
I
have
been to
the
Doctors
and they
also
said
that I
might
have a
tumor as
well so
we will
not be
adopted
out and
will
live my
life
enjoying
the love
that is
here in
the
foster
home.
We
have a
lot of
attention
from
Greyhaven
volunteers.
The
wonderful
thing
about my
life now
is that
my new
best
friend,
and cage
mate has
become
my care
giver.
She
feeds
and
preens
me all
day. We
two are
together
till the
rest of
my days
here are
completed.
I love
my
friend
Madison
a lot
and
wanted
to tell
all of
you
Budgie
lovers
that we
are so
smart
and
dedicated
to each
other in
time of
need.
If
you have
a wee
little
guys in
your
lives
please
make
sure
that you
take
really
good
care of
them as
we are
living
little

with a
lot of
feelings.
Just
look at
Madison
and I.
What
companions
we are
for each
other.
Thanks
for
reading
our

Sinbad -
Quaker
(Adopted March 2010)
Hi from
Sinbad.
Well it finally has happened. I have been
adopted into a fantastic home, and am the
happiest ever. A wonderful lady, that had
adopted another Quaker from the Greyhaven
program, about 5 years ago decided to take me
home with her as well.
She had
adopted Baxter the older and blind male
Quaker so now we are buddies. Both of us are
up there in years, so it is nice to have a
friend. Baxter is really easy to get along with,
and so am I. Our human mum is happy about that.
She loves our species and is really
knowledgeable about us, so that is a bonus. We
all are really happy together, and my life till
the end of time will be filled with love. Life
now is perfect. Thanks mum, I love ya.

Tikka - Indian Ringneck
(Adopted January 2010)
Hi from Tikka. I have found a great home and
family to be part of. My new family had already
adopted Airrik (another Indian Ringneck), so now
I have a friend to fly with. We have a great
play stand that is placed in front of a nice
window, Airrik and I sit there preen ourselves,
and watch the world go by.
What a wonderful life we have, so laid back.
Great family, and love to go with it. I have
toned down my being loud, and have tried to curb
it to only when my family arrive home from work.
I am always happy to see them.
Life is perfect. Love Tikka

Cody - Lovebird
(Adopted January 2010)
Hi from Cody. I cannot believe my new found
life. For me it is perfect. I was adopted into a
very calm and peaceful home, with new human
companions that love me a LOT.
They had adopted another Lovebird from Greyhaven
awhile ago, and thought we might be good friends
for each other. We do get along, really well.
Kia and I fly together, and often end up flying
to our new dad’s shoulder, we think that he
likes our antics.
Our human mum and sister take really good care
of us both. Insuring that we have great food,
and a lot of cuddles to go with. Each night Kia
and I count our lucky stars that we have ended
up together, in such a loving home. We are
blessed.

Nina and Gibson -
Lovebirds (Adopted January
2010)
We have gone to live in a wonderful and loving
home. Our new human dad came to visit with us,
and really enjoyed our company. We also have a
friend and human brother called Liam, he is a
great little guy. Very mindful that we are
little guys ourselves, and need special care. We
have a nice new life, and both Gibson and I can
hardly wait for the summer, and better weather.
We plan on having a good time in our cage, on
the porch watching the vegetable garden grow.
Watching the chickens meandering around, is
also on our list of thing to do. Life is really
great and very relaxing. We both are lucky
little Lovebirds.

 |
Percy - Cockatiel (Adopted
January 2010)
Hello from Percy. Life is going really well. I
have been adopted into a wonderful home, to be a
friend to another Cockatiel. It has been
established that Joey my new companion is the
alpha male and that is just fine with me.
Our human companion mum is perfect for us. She
lets us have freedom so we are not in our cage
much, only when she is out. We have great food,
and a lot of love to go with it. All of us hang
out together in the evenings and life is perfect
for both Joey and I.

2010)
Shrimp here and just to let you all know things
are going really well in my life. I am now in my
permanent home with another Budgie and our human

have an open cage door policy here and it really
works for both of us.
Our human mum takes really good care of us and
insures that we have the rest we need as well as
good food and the important part is that we are
loved a lot. I have learned to step up on a
finger and life is great. |

a Cockatiel, as well as a fantastic family that

the room that we have. There are two other
feathered ones here. Wee Lovebirds, one of whom
came from Greyhaven a year ago. They are in
another room and are having a blast as well.
They are very bonded so we do not visit with
them but certainly can hear their little chirps.
Life is good being a part of my new family.

Ariel - Lovebird (Adopted January 2010)
Hi from Ariel or Rose as I am now
called. I love my new name, but more than that I
love Marcel, my new feathered beau. I was lonely
in my foster home and was hoping to find another
of my kind so I could spend all my time taking
care of him, and grooming off the pin feathers.
My wildest dreams have come true as when my new
mum came to visit she picked me to meet Marcel.
She looked past my rudderless bottom (that does
not have tail feathers) and found beauty in me.
I am ever so grateful, that my human mum is such
a good and kind person. My life could not be any
better.

Hi my name is Indy and I am a Red

called Georgie. I love my family and am a happy

Zoey - Senegal (Adopted January
2010)
Hi from Zoey! It is official, I
am now adopted. I came into the Greyhaven
program and a wonderful couple were waiting for
a Sennie just like me to be part of their
family.
We met and it was really great. I now have my
own family to be part of and am really happy. I
am getting over being shy as there is a lot of
love surrounding me and life is good.

Shea - Budgie (Adopted
January 2010)
Hello from Shea. My dreams have
come true, and I have been adopted by a loving
couple that have 3 other Budgies. We all have
the freedom to fly and be who we are. All of us
have such different personalities that we keep
our human caregivers laughing a lot. We share
our home with 3 female Budgies and another 3
Cockatiels. We all get on so well. Life is
perfect for me. I love my new human family as
well as all my flock mates.

Oscar and Duke -
Budgies
(Adopted January 2010)
We are Oscar and Duke, two lovely little
male Budgies that have been adopted by a
wonderful family. Our new human
caregivers came to visit with all of us,
and we were chosen. Our new family did a
lot of research on our species and knew
the commitment, love and responsibility
it takes to have us wee feathered guys
in their lives. They were ready. Oscar
and I feel blessed that we have a great
life ahead of us. We in turn, plan to be
the best feathered companions ever.
Thanks for reading our bio, and know,
that we are happy and loved.
Duke and Oscar
