A Simple Way to Give. We Need YOUR Help!

Every year, hundreds of pet birds are bred in captivity in British Columbia and become available for adoption due to their owner’s ill health, passing away, change in lifestyle, neglect, abuse, etc. We, at Greyhaven, seek to offer these unfortunate birds a refuge and seek permanent loving homes for them. To enable Greyhaven to accomplish this, we need your support. The following are free or inexpensive ways to support Greyhaven and the valuable work we do.

Husky / Mohawk Community Rebate Card

WE ARE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISER! Help raise money for Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary by shopping at Husky and Mohawk. There are over 550 Husky and Mohawk locations involved in this Community Rebate Program.

Here is how it works – It’s as easy as 1…2…3…

  1. Upon your request, Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary will supply you with a Husky/Mohawk Community Rebate Card.
    It is NOT a credit card.
    It does NOT have your name on it.
    It has ‘Greyhaven Bird Sanctuary’ imprinted on it.
    There is no risk to you if the card is lost or stolen.
  2. You can either go inside the store or at the pump, and pay for your purchase of: gas, food or vehicle repairs as you normally would. The benefit to Greyhaven is enormous. (Tobacco products, lottery tickets and gas certificates excluded.)
  3. Hand the cashier or swipe at the pump your Husky/Mohawk Community Rebate Card.

Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary will then receive 2% of your retail purchase.  Isn’t that fantastic! The more participants …the more birds we can help!

If you are interested or have relatives, neighbours, friends etc. who would like to be part of this wonderful worthwhile fundraiser, please contact: info@greyhaven.bc.ca. Please provide the name, address and phone number of each person requesting a card. Greyhaven, in turn, will mail the Husky/Mohawk Community Card(s) to you.

Donating HBC Points

If you shop at the Hbc family of stores – the Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters and Designer Depot, online at DealsOutlet.ca, and Hbc Rewards Partners the Bay, Zellers or Home Outfitters did you know that you can donate all or a portion of your HBC reward points to Greyhaven?

This can be done in person at any of the stores or over the internet at www.hbc.com/hbcrewards

Here’s how it works – It’s as easy as 1…2…3…4

  1. Go into the Internet and type www.hbc.com/hbcrewards
    on the left side of the screen you click on Community Program
  2. Click on Donate to a Community Group and then you click on Search for a Community to Make a Donation
  3. Under type of organization you choose other, Enter ID # is 3347382 Click On Continue
  4. Our account will come up and you click on Donate Points to the right of our address. It will ask for your HBC Rewards number and you will type in your HBC number and hit continue.

You can then choose donate all or a portion of your HBC reward points to Greyhaven.

Eight $1,000 grants will be awarded to shelters with the highest number of votes, who have never won a prize in any of the Challenges before.

The Animal Rescue Site is also holding a Shelter Fan Photo Contest where your snapshots of an adopted bird from Greyhaven could net us a $2,000 grant! Please help us win one of the 83 grants! Thank you!
