Wonderful things sometimes happens to those that wait. I had been in the Greyhaven program for about a year, waiting for someone that
would fall in love with me and unfortunately, to most people, I was not the most desirable. I was afraid to step up, and if you would get too close, the
biting could be a problem. I was passed by for a long time…..then…..
A wonderful lady came into my life and now I am the happiest little guy around. She came to visit with me in my foster home, fell in love with my quirks, including my wee bald head. I am now living with my Sheila, and having the time of my life. She lets me out of my cage to be with her.
I have a play area that she built me where I can go with all the new toys and things that have been bought for me to play with. When she is not looking, I will sneak off to find whatever I can and drag it back to my lair.
When I first came to live with Sheila, I did bite her really hard, she did not flinch….I did see her leave, to go outside and then I heard the scream……she seemed to be alright once she came indoors…..
We are working on trust issues and I am feeling more comfortable knowing that I am loved and cared for so much. I really do not want to bite anymore but she still has to watch my body language. Found my place in the sun and am extremely grateful and happy.
Thanks Sheila, for loving me and giving me a chance to love you in return.
