This is a bio that my mum is sending along for my admittance into the Greyhaven program. She needs for me to have the best home possible, so if you think that you may be the one, please give Greyhaven a call. I will only be adopted to someone that had experience with larger birds and has the time and patience to insure that I am a happy little guy. My foster mum will do a home visit with you as well. If you have a quieter family life and love in your heart, come and visit with me.

“Casper is 13 year old male Citron-crested Cockatoo who has lived in the same home his entire life so far. Like most cockatoos he needs to be kept busy and loves chewing on anything he can get his beak on – wood, paper, boxes, etc. He has quit a good vocabulary (for a cockatoo) and is happy when he gets regular attention. Although he was hand-raised, when Casper was very young he became quite fearful of being handled and still is not handle able today although he loves getting scratches around his head (through the bars of his cage). He certainly has become much more confident as he gets older and I’m sure that he could learn to step up and probably much more if he had some regular training. Casper is a healthy, active male - he does not feather-pick but he will scream (like most cockatoos) when he is unhappy or needs attention. Casper would
probably prefer a quiet home with one or two adults. Due to a life-change situation, although we love Casper, we are no longer able to give him the kind of home that he needs and we are hoping to find someone who can.”
