Program – Education Outreach
What an opportunity to interact with our birds and have fun while learning!
The heart of Greyhaven revolves around our mission of education. We offer one hour presentations conveying a message of learning through caring and understanding to various groups. Through demonstrations and hands on activities, participants learn to gently handle a bird, about the bird’s needs and the similarities and differences between humans and exotic birds.
Some of our presentation highlights are:
- Meeting exotic birds and learning about the origin of each species, their dietary requirements and fun facts.
- Participating in an interactive discussion on birds.
- Learn some basic truths about parrots and how to be a good parrot guardian.
We request a minimum $50 Donation for these presentations which goes directly back to our Education Outreach Program as well as caring for the birds at the sanctuary and in foster homes.
We are available for bookings in the evenings and on weekends.
